Hello my wonderful hens and roosters! I hope you are all healthy and practicing safe social distancing. These are some crazy times we’re living in!
Considering the craziness we’re enduring, I figured it might be wise to post some supportive mental health quotes that might help you get through these unprecedented times. Quotes that have helped pick me up when I was down. I’m hoping they can do the same for you.
In my bathroom I have a myriad of quotes I like to refer to when I need a little pick-me-up. I keep them in the bathroom because that’s where I get ready for the day. It’s always nice to have positive mental affirmations first thing in the morning, especially if you wake up on the wrong side of the bed.
The first quote I’d like to share with you comes from a podcast I listened to a long time ago. It was a podcast about becoming the highest version of yourself. How to overcome obstacles placed on your path and how to come out on top. The quote that most resonated with me was one that opened my eyes the possibility that not all obstacles are negative. We can use them as learning experiences to reach the highest version of ourselves.

Now I’ve never been a huge fan of tough love, but this next quote by Elizabeth Taylor really gets me going every time. She’s clear, she’s concise, and she’s tough as nails. She knows how to make it through her days! On days when I feel like I don’t have the will to go on, I remember this quote. I remember to get out of bed with a purpose, put one foot in front of the other, and make that day my b!tch! Pardon my French.

This final quote comes to us from Jamie Varon, I believe, as I did not write it down. It’s a little softer, and a little more inspirational. It talks about becoming the woman you want to be, however it can be for any gender. It gives you something to think about, something to dream about, and look forward to. A positive outlook on building yourself up and preparing yourself for the exact life you’d like to live. I find peace and encouragement in this quote and it makes me want to be a better version of myself every single day.

My hope for you is that these quotes will inspire you to be happy, inspire you to be the best versions of yourselves, and inspire you to start building the life you were meant to live! Words can be powerful if you let them. There are some words that don’t deserve any power and others that light the flame within. These quotes are definitely fuel for the fire of life. I encourage you to read and reread these quotes until they sink into your head and give you more purpose. Allow the words to surround and comfort you like a big, warm blanket. Let the words move freely through your mind and cleanse your head of any negative thoughts. Let the words move you in a way you did not know you could be moved and know that you are loved. Because you are so incredibly loved!
Again, I hope this post finds you in good health and happiness. Please remember, in times like these when we’re going through a collective trauma, it’s ok to slow down and listen to your body and mind. Give them what they need to survive. Whole foods, plenty of water, creativity, love, and most of all, rest. Wash your hands, cough into you sleeve, wear masks and gloves while in public places, and keep taking your vitamins! We will make it through this mess together.
Thank you for joining me today! As always, sending love and light to all!!
Kay 💜
